Enable NSW offers approved applicants with Alopecia a subsidy of $1600 for human hair wigs. To apply, evidence must be supported, including a doctor’s letter. The application process takes approximately 3-6 months.

South Australia – DFC Wig Subsidy
The Department for Families and Communities (DFC) Equipment Program in South Australia supplies wigs or contributes towards wigs for eligible clients. Wigs may be provided under certain conditions, including personal hair loss due to major illness, a specific timeframe since the last wig provision, and more. Financial assistance is available for alopecia patients referred by a doctor and cancer patients holding a DHS Pensioner Concession Card or DHS Health Care Card.
