Our hands-on founder, Samantha, started Lace Fronts Australia from her spare room in 2017.  Fast-forward six years later, and through hard work, commitment, and the support of our amazing clinets, her loving family and team, she's created the Lace Fronts Australia that we all know today. 

We dont order mass produced wigs to sell at an exuberant prices. We create our wigs from scratch for you. Our comfortable, soft and secure wigs are coloured and styled by us, in Australia.

Wigs are way more secure than you would think, once you wear one you instantly understand how it feels and it just all makes sense. Wigs are quite secure without anything, just by design. Of course added security is important and so all of our wigs include an adjustable strap at the nape of the neck. All human hair and most synthetic wigs also have removable combs. Many of our customers love using a wig grip for added comfort and peace of mind. Our wig grips are extremely soft whilst giving you great security.

In the hair industry, the term "Remi" is often used without a clear understanding of its meaning. Remy hair refers to hair in which all of the cuticles are aligned in one direction, and this is something you can always expect from Lace Fronts Australia as our Human Hair wigs are created from 1-2 doners. Absolutely! Our human hair wigs can be washed, curled, straightened, and styled just like your own hair. You can also cut and colour them with professional guidance. It’s all about making it your own! 

Caring for your Human Hair is easy, all we recommend is our complete care kit and cold water!

The first step for Human Hair care is the right products, complete kit has everything you need from cleansing, conditioning, protecting and styling.

When washing your wig, start with cold water and our MUK shampoo, foamed up in cool water in a tub or bucket. Gently move your wig around in the water, rinse and repeat in necessary.

Our next step is to use the One Minute treatment, skip the conditioner-  we are serious about moisture! Leave in as long as you can, rinse and use a towel to gently remove excess water.  

Next, our MUK conditioning spray and thermal protector are sprayed all over the hair and inside the wig cap.  This dynamic duo is perfect for protecting and smoothing your wig while smelling amazing! The last product and step in your washing process is a serum that you can use once the hair is dry and styled.

Apart from washing your wig, it is important that you take care around the lace. At the end of the day the wig is created by tying a piece of hair to a piece of lace and is therefore a very delicate item. Take care not to pull at the hairs around the front of the hairline and be gentle when removing any make up or glue.

Never be afraid to wash your Human Hair Wig. The softer you keep the hair and the wig in general, the less damage you will have overtime. You will know when your wig is ready for a wash, it’s very similar to your own hair and how it feels.

You don’t need to wash it every day, but if you’re wearing it every day we would suggest washing at least once a week if you’re only wearing it every so often you can wash when you feel it’s appropriate, but you don’t be scared to wash it. Knot bleaching is a technique used to lighten the tiny knots where hair is tied to the lace, making them less visible and creating a more natural-looking scalp. It helps your wig blend seamlessly, especially along the hairline and part. It gives the illusion that the hair is growing from your scalp—but it should be done carefully to protect the lace. 

With proper care, our human hair wigs can last 1 to 2 years—sometimes longer! They’re made to be durable, and the better you treat them, the longer they’ll look beautiful. Need care tips? We’re here to help!

We know it’s super scary taking the step to come in but we are super relaxed, kind, fun and professional (if we do say so ourselves ) we always aim to make everyone’s experience a positive one. This is our main goal and very important to us. 

Our appointments are not focused on hair loss, if you want to talk about it we are more than willing but the main focus is hair, knowledge and confidence. If you'd like to visit our store on the Gold Coast, please pop by during our opening hours, these are kept up to date on Google. We recommend three essential tips for maintaining your synthetic hair:

First, use an affordable shampoo and conditioner. While we offer some fantastic Muk products that are both luxurious and fragrant, we understand that they may not fit everyone's budget. You don't have to sacrifice beautiful hair just because of the cost.

Second, let your hair air dry and use a leave-in conditioning spray. 

Finally, we highly recommend steaming your synthetic hair. Steaming will enhance the hair's texture and increase its longevity. It's a simple yet effective way to keep your synthetic hair looking its best.

Our synthetic wigs can be heat-styled up to 180 degrees. If you want to straighten your wig, it's an easy process. However, if you prefer curls, you'll need to hold or pin the curls until the wig has cooled to help set the shape. It's generally more cost-effective to purchase a curly wig if you want curls or a straight wig if you want a straight style, as styling can be time-consuming.

Shorter styles are particularly easy to manipulate with heat for face-framing effects. For best results, we highly recommend using a steamer when styling your wig. This adds moisture to the fibers and helps to repair the wig as you style it.

Synthetic wigs usually last around 1-8 months. There are many factors including length, style, purpose and care. Very Occasional wearers may get up to a year or more! Longevity depends on how often you wear it and how you care for it.

The longer and curlier the synthetic, the less of a life span it has.

Created using a heat safe synthetic fibre that is soft and mimics real hair pretty darn well. The best thing about synthetics is how they maintain their style after washing. We recommend washing synthetic wigs in something cheap that you like the smell of, don’t bother with ‘Synthetic Washes’ that cost a fortune! The best thing you can do for your wig is use steam to restyle and maintain your Synthetic wigs.

Great question! Our Synthetic wigs are one size fits all. They have adjustable straps at the nape of the neck to assist in finding a perfect fit for you.

In our Human Hair we are able to level it up even further!

We offer a petite, medium and large cap size. Using the sizing chart in the drop down menu at the bottom of each human hair product page or our sizing page, found in our website menu. Using this chart as a guide, take your measurements and find out your cap size. If you need any help at all, please feel free to send through your measurements and we will confirm a size for you.

No, wigs are extremely easy to put on and comfortable to wear all day. Once you have put a wig on a few times it makes so much sense and will be a breeze.

Absolutely! Wigs serve a variety of purposes, from protecting and improving your natural hair  to helping regain your confidence during hair loss, even religious and cultural requirements.

Physically wearing a wig feels similar to a cap or hat that is comfortablly fitted to your head but from an emotional standpoint, wearing wigs feels amazing!

Both our synthetic and human hair wigs are suitable for working out, including at the gym. We generally just recommend something that can be tied up or a bob style.

The type of wig you choose to wear for exercise may depend on a few personal factors but basically the debate is between Synthetic or Human Hair Wigs and we believe it all comes down to budget and security of the wig. 

Let’s be real, it’s 2025 and while we would all love to work out in a gorgeous Human Hair Wig it may not be very realistic. If this is in your budget, we recommend it as it is a cooler, more breathable option that is more longer lasting. Having said that our general recommendation is to exercising in a synthetic Wig. Synthetic Wigs are a great, budget friendly option for exercising in.

We have so many beautiful styles and colours and recommend something short or something in a mid to Long length that can be kept in a permanent up style or ponytail. You don’t need to necessarily style your Synthetic every day, it would just be a matter of taking it on and off with the Ponytail already in, so easy!

Keeping any long Synthetic wigs "up" will help with the lifespan as they will not tangle and matte like they do would if you were to exercise with the hair out.

It's worth noting that the more you wear your wig, particularly while exercising, the more frequently you'll need to wash it. While it is not a bad thing at all to wash your wig, washing paired with regular exercising will absolutely shorten the lifespan of any wig. 

Now for security! You can definitely wear your wig to the gym without it slipping off. For gentle workouts you have the option of wearing a wig grip.  For more intense workouts we recommend a wig grip and a headband or hat. If you live in a colder climate you could also glue your wig or secure it with hairspray. If you are are sweater, i wouldnt reccommend this, as  sweat will break the bonds and not work unfortunately. 

Yes absolutely! Our hair and all parts used to create our wigs are of a very high quality,medical grade, soft and gentle while still being versatile, natural and look amazing. 

We only use Vegan, Cruelty Free colour ranges created in Australia. 

Absolutely! That's one of the great features of our luxury human hair wigs, however to extend the lifespan of your human hair wig, it is important to protect and nourish the hair.

If you're using thermal protection, you can safely use heat tools to blow dry and straighten your wig. For human hair wigs, we recommend keeping the temperature below 180 degrees to prevent damage. 

Bleached knots refer to the process of lightening the knots on a lace front wig. These knots are where the hair is tied to the lace on the front part of the wig. At Lace Fronts Australia, our units are tied with single knots all around the hairline, and we use the bleaching process to create the illusion that the hair is growing directly from your scalp. This gives you a completely natural look without any need for additional alterations.

With our lace front wigs, you can enjoy a ready-to-go style without the need for any additional styling or prepping. Once you receive your wig, it's ready to wear and enjoy!

All hair is affected by environmental factors, just like our own bio hair, the wig hair can tangle.
Our wigs do not generally tangle but It is normal to get a little tangling, generally at the nape of the neck- due to sweat, excess heat or not brushing well. 

The solution to tangling is brushing from the bottom up , with a conditioning spray if necessary. Keeping the wig clean is also important as product and sweat build up can cause dryness and then tangeling if not addressed. With the correct care and aftercare your wig can last years to come.

You can use heat on both Human Hair and Synthetic wigs at Lace Fronts Australia. Is important when using heat on synthetic Wigs you do not go over 160 degrees. Better yet, use steam on your Wig. We have lots of tutorials and information on this. Steam helps to repair synthetic fibres and extend the life of your wig.

When using heat on your Human Hair Wig, it is extremely important that you use a thermal protector, protecting her from the heat is extremely important not only to maintain the colour in style but also to increase the life of your Wig. Our complete Care pack includes thermal protector and every other product needed to care for your Human Hair Wig professionally. 

Hiding your hair is very easy! There are so many ways to go about it. Nothing is wrong if it feels right when it comes to wearing a wig.

Long or Thick Hair

If you have long or thick hair, braid it or wrap it flat to your head, then use a wig cap(or 2) to hold everything in place. This creates a smooth surface for your wig to sit on and keeps it feeling secure.

Short Hair is easy to hide—you can wear a wig cap to keep everything flat and tidy or go without! Our wigs are adjustable and designed to sit comfortably over short hair or shaved heads.

 All of our Human Hair Wig are amazingly natural, created with medical grade quality hair and fabrics, and they boast a natural hairline from ear to ear and 6 inches back.

We offer all of our Human Hair Wig‘s in a petite, medium, large size. After working out your size it is important to have a think about whether or not you would like ear tabs on your wig.

What are ear tabs? Basically ear tabs are a small section that sits above the ear and helps the wig to stay secure around the ears.

The tabs do have removable combs (let us know if you’d like these removed ) but basically the design is meant to allow you to tuck hair behind your ear and pull the hair back off your face without the Lace bending back.

The other option is to have no ear tabs, this also has lace from ear to ear. These wigs are best using some sort of tape or glue to secure the sides, however if you’re not fussy, you can just leave them as they are. Still not sure? We highly recommend going for a wig with ear tabs as it truly super easy to wear and again, you can tuck behind your ear. This is something that you can’t really do in lots of wigs and is definitely important to a lot of people
