Wig density is the amount of hair that is added into the cap to create different looks and styles.

These percentages help to explain how thick or thin the hair on the wig cap looks and feels. When understanding wig density, it is important to recognise the difference between hair density and hair thickness. Hair thickness refers to the thickness of the individual strand of hair, whereas hair density refers to the amount of hair strands present in the human hair wig cap.

This means you can have low density hair even if the hair strands themselves are thick. You can also have thin hair strands with a high density—meaning the strands are thinner but there are more of them to create a high density wig. To put it simply, the higher the density of the wig, the thicker the unit will be.

What density options are there for a human hair wig?

Lace Fronts human hair wigs are available in 130%, 150% and 180% density. Lets look closer at these.

The 130% human hair wig density is known as natural/fine density which means it gives a

very natural overall look and is light and easy to wear. The 130%
