In this blog, we’ll go over one of the key aspects of this essential journey— measuring your head for the perfect fit with our Lace Front wigs. We also offer an insightful tutorial, you can watch here.
Prepping Your Hair
Before we dive into the measurements, let’s touch on prepping your hair. If you’re experiencing hair loss that you believe won’t progress further or if you have complete hair loss, you can measure your head as it is. However, ensure that any existing hair is kept as flat as possible. Gently pull it back into a low ponytail, considering the potential for future hair loss.
For those anticipating hair loss, it’s best to get the hair out of the way as much as possible during measurement. On the other hand, if you’re wearing wigs for reasons other than hair loss and have existing hair, keep it as it would naturally sit when wearing the wig. To aid in this process, using a wig cap is highly recommended.
The Measuring Process
Now that we’re prepped and ready, let’s dive into the measuring process. Please use the sizing guide below for reference.
We measure the following:
- Circumference
- Front to nape
- Ear to ear over the overhead
- Ear to ear over the top of your head
- Temple to temple
- Nape of neck
